| «Water Project» Educational Program
Within the World Water Day (March 22nd) «Nestle WaterCoolers Service» conducted its «Water Project» campaign. The company considered this activity special enough to extend Water Day into a whole educational Water Month.
The campaign was targeted at junior and middle school children of comprehensive, secondary and vocational schools of Moscow. The mission of «Water Project» was to explain the role of water in our life to children, parents and teachers.
The educational program was taking place within the walls of «Nestle WaterCoolers Service» factory in Domodedovo town — in-service. Its guests were offered a tour during which they could see the process of water production with their own eyes. Schoolchildren also visited corporate laboratory where microbiologists performed a set of water tests. And Quality Control Department experts told their young guests about water production technologies as well as its composition and content of vital minerals.
To make the educational program both effective and exciting, its organizers decided to make it a game. While doing various exercises, the children got to know how good pure drinking water is for human body, and how to use it the right way.
Being socially responsible, «Nestle WaterCoolers Service» people did their best to explain the importance of respecting natural resources in general and drinking water in particular to its guests. Tips on preserving and saving water by own efforts were also given to them. Guided by «Protect the planet» slogan, the guests of the factory acquired an important habit: taking care of the environment and of their own health.
«Nestle WaterCoolers Service» offers you to join «Water Project» so that to learn treating such valuable resource of our planet as water with due care.

REFERENCE LETTER
Today caring parents have unlimited opportunities of choosing high quality products for their children. This is especially important for those who live in big cities with bad ecology. It is sad to acknowledge, but Moscow has belonged to this exact category so far. Long ago has it been recommended not to drink tap water here. It goes without saying that your health strongly depends on quality of water you drink. As far as children are concerned, there fragile body needs healthy water even more desperately.
This is why we, a group of parents from Vidnoye town took an interest in «Nestle WaterCooler Service», pure water producing factory in Domodedovo.
After studying the company web site, we sent a request asking to organize an introductory meeting so that our «family» group including children could witness the process of preparing and bottling drinking water.
The request was immediately accepted by Marketing Department Coordinator Svetlana Preobrazhenskaya. At set time on April 14th we gathered at the factory lodge.
After passing the security desk, we entered the conference room. One of its walls turned out to be made of glass, and panoramic view of the main workshop of the factory opened before us, watching from the second floor. The entire working process was taking place before our eyes while Olga, a charming Quality Control Department employee, was providing us with clear comments — even for children. From her fascinating story we understood that «Nestle WaterCooler Service» places serious demands on cleanliness and hygiene at this stage of production. Before bottling the water that comes from a water-well hole goes through multi-level system of filtration, reverse osmosis, seasoning, ozone treatment ... The bottling line is fully automated and requires minimum involvement of human experts.
Children were surprised and excited to know that there are people working for production whose responsibilities include scenting empty water bottles — organoleptic control. As the bottles are reversible, specially trained people inspect and scent them before they reach the workshop. Turns out, plastic bottle’s average life cycle is 30-40 refillings.
Quality of water is being thoroughly supervised by the company’s laboratory. This is where we got to know what the difference is between «dead» and «live» water, which especially impressed our children. The «mystery» was described with the help of various measuring equipment.
Our exciting but useful «Nestle WaterCooler Service» factory tour finished in the same conference room where our children were playing cheerfully within World Water Day. The company committed educational function and organized a full series of activities for the younger generation which lasted as long as a month. That was where we came in. Children were drawing excitedly and answering questions, but what’s even more important — they got to know how little fresh water there is on the Earth, and even less of water suitable for drinking. They were reminded of the importance of solicitous attitude to this priceless bounty of nature.
And in the end of our visit there was one more surprise awaiting us — gifts from the company.
We want to thank all «Nestle WaterCooler Service» employees for the warm welcome and for high level of production and management culture.
